NTU International Student Exchange Programme (INSTEP)

For AY 2010-2011 (January, 2010 Intake)

During this intake, you can ONLY apply for exchanges for Semester 1  or Full Year unless specified in the INSTEP brochure.  Please read the brochure carefully!

The information for the January 2010 intake will be finalized by the first week of January. 

Application for INSTEP is estimated at January 11-21, 2010 (tentative dates - not confirmed).

 INSTEP info sessions will be available in early January, 2010.  You will be notified by email sent to your NTU account.

  INSTEP Information Sessions:

LT2 is the Tan Chin Tuan Lecture Theatre located in the North Spine (near Admin Building).

INSTEP Online Application Period: 

The INSTEP application period is:
August 11, 2009 (2PM) - August 20th, 2009 (23:59).

Special notes:
- Please use INTERNET EXPLORER only to apply. 
- There is no advantage to applying early in the application period so please take your time to research the universities you are interested in and then apply before the deadline. 
- Once you submit your application - there are NO changes.
- No late applications will be accepted.
- Please read the FAQs BEFORE you apply to INSTEP.

- You must have a cGPA of 3.6 at the time of application to apply.
- If you are in your last year at NTU and you wish to apply for an exchange, please be aware that it is possible that you will not receive your transcript in time for graduation/convocation.  Thus, you may not be to graduate on time!  Be sure you are willing to take this risk!!  There is no way to predict who will or will not get transcripts in time! 

INSTEP Allocations & Offers of Exchange Placements:

September 7th, 2009 - September 11th, 2009

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU CHECK YOUR NTU EMAIL ACCOUNT AND PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR MAILBOX IS NOT FULL.

- You will be notified via NTU email about the status of your application.  Please check frequently to avoid full mailboxes.
- Please note that these are tentative dates.  Please do not email INSTEP to ask when you will be notified unless you have not received an email from INSTEP by September 13, 2009.

INSTEP Review of Exchange Placements and Course Matching:

The INSTEP Review period is: 
September 11th, 2009 - September 22nd, 2009  (Note the new deadline!!!)

- Please read the FAQs on this website.
- For those of you who have applied for other programs (such as GIP) - their results should be released during this time as well.
- This is a time for you to consult with your school exchange coordinator and do your course matching.
- When you have reviewed the offer you have received, you must go online to StudentLink to choose either ACCEPT or REJECT. 
- Failure to choose one of the options by the deadline will be interpreted as 'Reject and Withdraw'.

 INSTEP Second Round Selection:

The INSTEP application period for Second Round Selection is from:
 September 24th, 2009 - SEPTEMBER 30, 2009
